To encourage increased visitation, both domestically and internationally;

To maximise visitor spending;
To assist members to develop and effectively market their business;
To encourage sustainable tourism development practices.

In order to achieve this, the core responsibilities of OQTA are:

  • Destination marketing activities (domestic and international).
  • Destination development activities (product/infrastructure development).
  • Communication and education of industry initiatives to assist with product at the regional level.
  • Provide leadership and represent the region at all levels of government and industry.
