Membership

Chairman's Letter

Dear Tourism Partner,

The Outback Queensland Tourism Association Inc. (OQTA) is a membership based organisation and we rely on members to help us fulfill our role of attracting visitors to the Outback. OQTA is responsible for the development, marketing and promotion of the Region on behalf of its members to increase visitation and, in turn, create greater overall economic benefit for Outback communities. OQTA also assists in the management, leadership and planning for the future development of tourism in the Region.

Over the past few years, the Outback has made some significant gains in attracting visitors to the region and Membership support from the private sector is vital to ensure that Queensland’s Outback remains competitive with other domestic and international destinations. As a business operator directly or indirectly involved in tourism I want you to reap the rewards and share the benefits of increased tourist numbers.

We have a small but dedicated, hard working team, who’s goal it is to see sustainable tourism growth and development in the Outback.

Membership is an investment in your own business as well as in the future economic interest of your community and the entire Queensland Outback region.

For less than the cost of your daily newspaper, can your business afford not to be part of the peak tourism body for Queensland’s Outback?

To become a member complete the Application Form at the back of the  2010 Outback Queensland Tourism Membership Handbook ( Adobe Acrobat - 839.923KB ) and return to the OQTA office, or if you have any questions about OQTA; what we do and how we can help your business please contact your Regional Manager:

We look forward to working with you to ensure that our destination’s profile and competitive edge is continually enhanced.

Yours in tourism

Tony Edwards
